Filtering Vodka?!
I don't what it says about me in that I was talked into a "science experiment" last weekend. I was a ChemE, and the wise Professor Ackley once told me "what good is being a ChemE if you can't distill booze?" Of course I've progressed past the college days of stirring 6 magnum bottles of vodka into blue cool-aid in a trash can using nothing but my arm. Now that I can afford better than "Quarter for the bus?" brand vodka, I thought I was through with them. Until my equally wise girlfriend said that filtering vodka through a charcoal filter was like low grade distillation and would make cheap vodka taste good. Now this was a question my skeptical side and my liver agreed had to be answered. Check out my newest photo gallery detailing my quest with Carolyn to make a $6 bottle taste better than an armpit.
